UMDNJCRO - Synergy at Work

UMDNJ - the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - brings forward its state-wide academic presence to serve private industry through its Clinical Research Organization. We are the only medical university in New Jersey and our five campuses offer:

• three medical schools, a dental school and allied schools of health,
• hundreds of University investigators conducting more than 500 current clinical trials,
• more than two million patient visits to UMDNJ health care facilities each year
• and up-to-date facilities and scientific resources.

UMDNJ's history and reputation for clinical research success has accelerated. In the last five years our National Institutes of Health (NIH) awards alone have topped $586 M. Our academic systems have significant experience in bringing trials in all phases to completion with satisfaction. Our academic specialists have longstanding, trusting relationships with patients seeking optimum care.

Our CRO is a single point of entry to:

• the depth of our medical research and clinical expertise -- over 230 principal investigators,
• our full array of core services: clinical lab and analytical services, imaging facilities, data management and analysis,
• our well-developed research administration functions,
• the breadth of our clinical research activity in all major therapeutic areas.

We make it easier to conduct and participate in clinical research at UMDNJ--for the research sponsors, our patients, and also for the researchers themselves--by removing barriers to progress and replacing them with seamless, transparent processes.
